The documentation CDROMS are updated about every two months when a        new set of digital layered product CDROMS are received. Install Excursion ver 2.1 on WFWG, Windows 95 or Windows NT             system.  Set up the TCP/IP transport.  If you have Pathworks             on the PC you can set the transport to Decnet.                        OR        1.) Install MACx Ver 1.5 on Macintosh.        Note: Excursion Ver 2.1 is in Getsoftware. As for MACx it is         bundled with Pathworks.         2.) Contact your campus site Usercode manager, and set up an account        on the SBSCVC system.                SBSCVC     Decnet address 5.21                           IP address vc.itec.suny.edu        3.) Log in to your new account on the ITEC 2100 system and         you will see:                $ SHOW LOGICAL DECW$BOOK                   "DECW$BOOK" = "DISK$ITEC:[DECW$BOOK]" (LNM$SYSTEM_TABLE)        4.) Test the TCP/IP transport:                $ set display/create/node=your_node_decnet_name/trans=DECNET                                OR                $ set display/create/node=joex.itec.suny.edu/trans=tcpip                                          ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^                                               |-> your PC's IP name only                $ run decw$examples:ico                 5.) Access the X windows interface and the TCP/IP or        Decnet transport to bookreader on the ITEC 2100 system.                                Application: sys$system:decw$bookreader                Username: get_from_your_usercode_mgr        We can help you with the configuration of Excursion or MACx        if you have problems.       Note: We have moved the ITEC bookreader disks from the old WS0601        system to our new AXP-2100 system SBSCVC address 5.21 IP       vc.itec.suny.edu.  Access to the old WS0601 system for CDROM       bookreader access is on longer available.
