2. 10g is HERE (kind of)

Oracle has recently made available for download via OTN (http://technet.oracle.com) 10g versions of itís popular database, application server and developer suites.

http://otn.oracle.com/software/index.html

Currently these are for the most part only available on Solaris, Linux and HP-UX platforms only.

Also check out the products pages at:

http://otn.oracle.com/products/database/oracle10g/index.html
http://otn.oracle.com/products/ias/index.html
http://otn.oracle.com/products/ids/index.html

We have installed both the database and application server and the installs for both products are much improved. Note that we cannot as yet order the product on CD - once we can we will announce this to the community.

3. ITEC Recharges FY 2004-2005

The ITEC recharges and fee formulas for FY 2004-2005 can be found at:
http://www.itec.suny.edu/newsletter/newsletter_vc/2004/ITEC Recharges FY 2004-2005.xls

A summary of campus fees are listed on the first worksheet of the spreadsheet. These fees are based on our record of your current services as of February 2004. If your campus were to add more services, additional fees would be added to your recharges. On the second worksheet are the formulas that are used to compute the fees. The FTE portion of the fees is based on the reported 2002-2003 FTE count.

A notice from the Provostís office was sent on February 20, 2004, announcing that responsibility for the development, support, and administration of CourseSpace will be assumed by Learning Environments. Questions on the CourseSpace fees should be directed to David Porush (PorushDa@sysadm.suny.edu).

Please contact me if you have any questions.
