We need your help to make this the best Wizard ever! We are looking for a few experts in the tentative tracks outlined below to present and/or act as a facilitator at Wizard.

November 7th

  • Banner
  • November 8th

  • TOA Meeting - Agenda to be distributed to members
  • Academic Computing including TLT
  • Administrative Computing including products from Oracle (SOA and ID management), and Banner related vendor products. ITEC will provide a recap on Oracle Open World and Black Hat as it relates to Oracle.
  • Virtualization
  • Business systems update
  • ITEC Advisory Committee meeting
  • November 9th

  • COA Meeting - Agenda to be determined
  • HelpDesk including lessons learned and best practices.
  • Disaster Recovery including an update on ITECís offering plus: What to do; what not to do; what are the simple things we all can do now?
  • Security
  • SUNY System Administration - Updates on what is new, contracts, etc.
  • CCIO Meeting (starts in the afternoon) - Theme is Learning Space Design

  • The schedule is tentative and WILL MOST LIKELY change. Your input about specific information under these items, as well as other items you would like to see is VERY import to the success of the Wizard. We are seeking people to help with presenting. You are encouraged to participate in the programs as a roundtable participant or present on a topic of interest in the changing IT world we are all experiencing.

    2. ITEC Support During Wizard

    As usual ITEC staff will be available to meet with you and your staff informally during Wizard. In addition, ITEC staff will be available for more formal, scheduled meetings to discuss any concerns or issues you may have with regards to ITECís support of your campus. Another option is to have lunch with the ITEC staff that supports your campus! If you would like a one-on-one meeting with ITEC staff or myself during the conference or the lunch break, please email Linda Delaney ( with suggested days and times. We feel that it is important to "keep in touch" with you in order to best support your campus

    We ask that major tasks not be scheduled during this timeframe in order for ITEC staff to attend the conference. We also ask that non-critical support requests not be submitted during this period or note in the request that an immediate response is not required. Emergencies (e.g., production system down) will be handled as documented on the ITEC web site at:

    Generally this procedure states that placing a call to ITEC at 716-878-ITEC (4832) will connect you with office staff that will be able to reach the appropriate support staff. If office staff is unavailable, a recorded message will provide the cell phone numbers of key staff that you may call. They, in turn, will contact the appropriate support person. As there is good connectivity at the conference, ITEC will be able to handle emergencies that arise.
